"Youth Mentorship for Social Change" training course - Erasmus+
It held from May 8-14, 2024, in Struga, North Macedonia. This initiative aimed to empower youth workers with the skills and knowledge to facilitate impactful social innovation projects within their communities.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The training aims to empower youth workers to facilitate impactful social innovation projects, fostering positive change in their communities. It is designed to equip youth workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide young people through the process of conceiving developing, and implementing social innovation projects.
THE METHODOLOGY
The activities was done using a non-formal methodology like problem-solving, creativity, innovation, communication, teamwork, and many others to foster a successful learning process, the development of the key competences, and a wide range of soft skills to achieve the objectives.

THE PARTICIPANTS
A total of 20 individuals (including the trainer and facilitator) took part in this project. The profile:
- youth workers, youth leaders, volunteers and general staff of youth organisations, as well as educators in general;
- open-minded, proactive, eager to learn new things and also contribute with their knowledge and experience
OUTCOMES
- Enhanced skills in social innovation and project management among youth workers.
- Strengthened cross-border cooperation and networking between participating organizations.
- Development of innovative project ideas ready for implementation in participants' home countries.
What did we achieved?
Focused on developing social innovation projects, participants shared best practices and innovative ideas from their respective countries

National teams presented their cultures and organizations, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity

Participants worked in groups to develop project proposals aimed at addressing specific social issues in their communities

Our contribution
On May 9, we facilitated a session about Europe Day. Activities included a video on Europe, interactive puzzle games, bingo, and a Kahoot quiz.
The "Youth Mentorship for Social Change" training course was a resounding success, achieving its objectives of empowering youth workers and promoting social innovation.
